E-mail Addresses:

The following are policies we have established for the collection and use of e-mail addresses. Golden Walnut is aware of consumer's concern over unauthorized use of their e-mail address (spamming) and will do everything possible to protect the privacy of our visitors without hindering the services we provide to them.

1. When we collect an email address of an individual placing an online order we add them to our list to send future promotional emails, unless they opt-out when asked for permission to contact them again.

2. When we collect an address of an individual requesting a print catalog we will also try to collect an email address from them and ask if they would like to opt-out of our promotional list. They will have this option at the time their request is placed.

3. When we collect an email address of an individual filling out a form to contact us, we will ask them to opt-in to receive promotional emails from us in the future. An individual will not be required to opt-in in order to have their question answered by us.

4. If wholesalers register on our site, we will send future promotional emails from us unless they opt-out when we asked for permission to contact them again. They will have this option at the time they register with us.

5. Every promotional email we send will contain an option for the recipient to opt-out, and not receive any future promotional emails.

6. We will not send promotional emails to email addresses gathered from any other source unless that person has, either via an opt-in or opt-out option, give us permission to contact them. Email addresses collected from such sources (phone, mail order form, etc) will be sent a welcome email thanking them for giving us their email address, informing them we only plan to use the email for acceptable business reasons (update on the status of an order, etc), and asking them to opt-in to promotional emails in the future.

7. We will not rent or exchange our email addresses to any outside parties. Any email information provided will be guarded with the utmost security and will only be used when necessary for our own business purposes.

8. If we rent email addresses from outside sources we will only use lists where email addresses have been collected with the permission of the individual that the address be used in this manner.

9. No opt-in (or opt-out) permission will be assumed to be required for sending emails to answer questions that have been emailed to us, to deliver order status (or other pertinent order information) or to fulfill requests that have been made to us via an email.

Mailing Addresses:

The following are policies we plan to follow in regard to mailing addresses we collect:

1. Unless notified otherwise, we will mail future print catalogs to any mailing address we gather from either an online order or an online catalog request.

2. A note about our mailing lists - Golden Walnut will never sell its mailing list to a third party. Any information provided will be guarded with the utmost security and will only be used when necessary for our own business purposes.

3. Any print customer wishing to not receive any future mailings from us may do so by contacting us via email, telephone, or mail, at the addresses above. Please provide us with your exact name and address.
